I am an experienced author, researcher, and postgraduate supervisor. My interests are wide-ranging and span service user involvement, management of social care and the care of frail older people. I am currently working on projects with the Church of England, Gloucestershire CCG, and Community Foster Care.

Membership of professional bodies

I was elected to a Fellowship with the Royal Society of the Arts (RSA) in September 2016.

I teach across the social care spectrum, specialising in management and leadership, research and social care history and policy.

Research

My current research focuses on the financial abuse of older people by charities and religious organisations. I also have a developing interest in social care post-personalisation.
