Adam Michallat-Cox’s Profile
I have been Managing Director of the Bristol operation of Wilshire Farm Foods for the last 25 years, providing a valuable home meals service for the more senior and vulnerable members of our community. Whilst being very much of a ‘food first’ mindset, I also recognise the importance of good nutrition and thankfully we can meet most, if not all, diet and allergen-based need, including modified texture requirements.
We absolutely regard ourselves as being a community business and do all that we can to develop this role and put something back whenever we have the opportunity. I strongly believe that private business has a moral responsibility to ‘do what is right’.
We are a Dementia Friendly business, and I am a trustee/treasurer of the Bristol Dementia Action Alliance (BDAA), plus I sit on the steering groups for both the South Gloucestershire and Portishead DAA’s. I am also a Dementia Champion.
In addition, I am immediate past Deputy Chair of The National Association of Care Catering (NACC), and remain on the national executive assisting with several special projects.
I am a member of the Institute of Directors; a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development and I have an MBA from the University of Bath.
